How much do pit bosses make and are all pit bosses former dealers
so could u start hitting numbers after awhile??
it would take awhile or alot of practice. the guy who taught the class could section, pick a number and he would be within 2-3 numbers either way of the number you wanted, but your also suppose to have procedures to stop that from happening. not looking at the wheel when you spin, switching the size of the balls, how fast the wheel is spinning, how fast you spin the ball etc.
i remember the first time i ever played roulette was at caesars in vegas was watching for awhile and these people kept playing 17 as it was their number with no luck, new dealer taps in and they tell the guy if he hits 17 first spin he gets $100 tip. first spin the guy nails 17 and gets his $100 tip which he left sitting on the wheel head. he made a comment like i guess its steak and lobster tonight for dinner. not sure if they actually didnt pool tips then or if he was just waiting to get tapped out to color down the tip
some casinos dont pool still to this day. each dealer carries around a toke box and take it with them when they leave the game. our poker dealers still do that. i dont know how not pooling works on poor tipping games like pai gow or let it ride, where you might be lucky to get $5 sometimes.
in my hr on roulette i hit back to back numbers twice. but i cleaned out 3/4 players including the $500 roulette nickel buy in. one of the younger girls colored up 140
as far as i know, the dealers toke box is locked with a lock you might put on say a storage locker, at the end of the shift they go to the cashiers cage, who has all the keys to the boxes. they unlock the box and count out the tips in front of the dealer and the amount is logged. they then get it back in their paycheck after taxes n shit are taken out
